HOW IT STARTED
Staffify was born out of necessity — and a vision for something better.
​
Before founding Staffify, Paul was focused on growing his media production agency, Flylisted. To support this growth, he began outsourcing work through virtual assistant agencies — expecting leverage, support, and scale. What he got instead was high turnover, inconsistent results, and radio silence when things went wrong. He paid thousands in agency fees with nothing to show for it.

That experience led him to dig deeper. What he discovered was eye-opening: many VA agencies were paying their assistants below a living wage. The result? Burned-out workers juggling multiple clients just to get by — or quitting the moment a better-paying opportunity came along. These agencies had mastered acquisition, but not retention.

He also realized another key issue: most businesses aren’t fully equipped to support remote hires. Onboarding feels like guesswork. Expectations are unclear. Instead of creating leverage, the process can create more work.

He knew there had to be a better way.

That’s when Staffify was born — with a new model built on people-first pay, retention-focused support, and white-glove onboarding that actually works.
